Water and Birds

New girls
We actually picked them up about 4 weeks ago
when we were in Perth on our return
from Bali
Since then no 6 went missing
and now no 5 was looking
very subdued when we left on sunday
so we put her in isolation
and are hoping for the best

Old Duck pond
We had a few holes dug in the last couple of weeks
as last year when we were watering the vegie garden
with the tank water it got rather low
which was most troubling

New Duck Pond!!!!!

Big isn't it?
We have 3 this size now
so are feeling abundant indeed

Gorgeous George decided to spend the
weekend up at the shed with us
rather than down in the yard
with the others
She kept wandering into my studio
very quietly and then standing behind me
I would turn around
and get such a fright
She thought it most amusing
I did not

First trip of the season to the beach
I went in to my knees
Dan was braver than I
and went all the way in
But not for very long

A weekend is never long enough
for being home

Market Day

The day was perfect

we were looking good

Trish's work looked dandy

I had a few framed and under glass

Bits of me and Julia

This little girl was mighty interested in Julia's work

I thought she was going to chew a whole in it

But hardly anyone came.
Those who did were
very interested
in classes
not buying
lets hope it translates well

And I must admit the view was pretty darn good.

Islands from the sea

vegetation just hanging on

Weekend Work New Theme

Mending Land II
Encaustic and Mixed Media
on cradled board
30 x 30cm

It is funny how things happen
I needed some photocopied images
for the demos I am currently doing
to show the transfer technique

and I happened upon a pile of pictures
that are scans of work I did at university
and voila
it all came together
how to add stitch to my work

Mending Land
Encasutic and Mixed media
on Cradled Board
30 x 30cm

And to continue with my beloved Abstract Landscapes

And make a statement?
a comment?
a something
on my feelings for the Earth
and what we are doing

Encaustic and Mixed Media
on Cradled Board
30 x 30cm

This is where it actually started
So glad I scanned my pieces way back when
that I used the right photocopier
I think I stay and play here for a while
Must do me some stitching
